As you will know, we are now facing another lockdown, along with everyone else in the country. pity as we had arranged for our cellar to be completely refurbished, this will now go ahead anyway in the next few weeks, ready for (hopefully) reopening early in December.

Hello, been a long time but here's what's happening in the club -

 The Covid-19 nightmare has badly affected us like everyone else, especially as we had committed to refurbishing the bars with new carpeting and the areas around the bar itself. That has been completed and paid for and the place looks great. Even with all the notices and one-way system we have had to implement!

The Chefs are still providing meals (best to book) and takeaway food as well - contact them direct

Hello, haven't updated this for a while (any volunteers?)

anyway, refurbishment of the bars ongoing, looking at carpets/curtains/windows next. Any suggestions?

New Door entry system and members loyalty cards in place - if you haven't got your card, ask at the bar or you will have to pay non-members prices soon!

Door entry system is required to ensure we stay within the licensing laws - please make sure you sign your guests in.

Please, Please, don't force the door to the club - already been broke...

We have a new Chef! Martin, a well known face in the area, has agreed to join us in providing meals and snacks in the club. We are at the "suck it and see" stage until we can work out what the customers want, and how best to provide it.

We have been remiss about updating this blog for a long time, so here's a catch-up for anyone who hasn't visited recently.

 Our Steward, Graham, left the club by mutual consent in January after a prolonged spell of sickness leave, we are in the process of recruiting a replacement.

  Our Chairman, Charlie, has recently resigned for personal reasons and we wish him well. We will announce the new Chairman as soon as possible.
